Available Positions:

Conveyancing Administrator / Cashroom Assistant

Location: Glenrothes
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We are looking to recruit an Administration assistant to join our busy Residential Property team and assist our Cashroom.  The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our solicitors and paralegals in the smooth running of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, while also providing essential support to our cashroom team.

Hours

The role will be office-based and the ideal working hours are Monday-Friday from 9am until 5pm with an hour for lunch, although there is some flexibility in the contracted working hours and we would be happy to discuss this with candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and managing conveyancing documentation and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls and emails
  • Maintaining and updating digital files
  • Supporting the wider property team with administrative tasks as required
  • Assisting the cashroom with:
    • Processing and recording account payments and receipts
    • Preparing fee notes and basic financial documentation
    • Reconciling transactions and operating our cashroom system/ledgers
  • Ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements

 About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in handling financial records
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and manage a varied workload
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • Basic numeracy and comfort with financial processes (experience in a dealing with basic accounting procedures would be useful)

Conveyancing Solicitor / Paralegal

Innes Johnston is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Solicitor or Paralegal.  The ideal candidate will already have experience working in this area and handling their own caseload. The role will be based in Fife and involve working as part of a team, alongside a number of friendly and experienced colleagues. The successful applicant will have experience in dealing with residential purchases, sales and remortgages.

The salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
